On April 29th, IHU SEPSIS had the distinct pleasure of welcoming the members of the International Scientific Advisory Board (iSAB) to Paris, in the magnificent setting of the Salons de l'Aéro-Club de France.
During this annual meeting, the IHU's WP (Work Package) leaders presented their research progress in a plenary session, before breaking out into three distinct groups for more direct and in-depth discussions with the iSAB members who are experts in their respective fields.
This day provided an excellent opportunity to review the IHU’s scientific program, adjust its priorities, and identify potential bottlenecks along with strategies to overcome them.

On Thursday, September 24, 2026, the “Bridge the Gap” event, organized by Claire Richards and Roland Cahen, brought together 24 biologists, physicians, researchers, professors, and designers to discuss rapid Point-of-Care diagnosis of sepsis.
Maëlisse is a PhD student at MICALIS, INRAe. To gain a better understanding of the reality of sepsis in a hospital setting, she swapped her researcher’s lab coat for a clinical one for a week of shadowing in the Intensive Care Unit at Raymond-Poincaré Hospital in Garches.
